Chris Arnold Tree Surgery employs 12 fully trained and experienced tree surgeons working in four teams. All our staff have up-to-date first aid training to ensure high standards of health and safety.
We cover the whole of the Cotswolds area, including Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Wiltshire, West Oxfordshire, the West Midlands, Warwickshire and South Wales.

As well as undertaking tree work for residential customers, we also take on contracts for many councils and commercial organisations within the area.

TREE REMOVAL
There are many reasons why you might want to remove a tree. It may be dead, dying or diseased, causing damage to a property, or blocking too much light. Fallen tree removal may also be necessary following a harsh storm.

Tree Felling
Straight felling is the removal of trees as a single unit. We only fell whole trees in situations where there’s no risk to any property or people. Otherwise, we fell trees in sections.
Our tree surgeons use pruning ropes and felling wedges to guide trees designated for straight felling to ensure the fall is controlled and in the correct direction.
Sectional Tree Felling
When there’s a risk of harm to property or the public, we perform sectional tree felling. This involves the entire removal of the tree in sections rather than as a whole.
Our skilled tree surgeons dismantle the tree using the step cut, break off and controlled throw method, made steady and safe with the use of a lowering rope.
STUMP REMOVAL
Following tree felling and removal, we can grind out the remaining stumps to leave your site ready for replanting, returfing or installing new boundaries.
For a comprehensive stump grinding service, we have the equipment to handle a broad range of tree stump sizes.
Do you have a problem stump?
From small woody shrubs to giant tree stumps, we can provide a standalone stump grinding service to remove all problem stumps from your site.
Remove your stump today
Our Predator stump grinder only needs 27 inches access to get to your problem stump.
We also have a larger tracked grinder that will handle any large stumps. This machine requires 30 inches access.
If these two grinders still don’t meet your requirements, we can get a smaller grinder to meet your stump removal needs.
